Emptying out is what makes creation possible – Caroline Myss

Caroline Myss is one of my favorite spiritual teachers. I like her sass and her style; I resonate deeply with the language she uses to talk about the Soul and the lessons life offers us.

Her latest newsletter includes this quote and it stopped me in my tracks. Isn’t this so true?

Whether it’s an end, a healing, death, tragedy, releasing the stuff you thought you knew, being on your knees and ready to give it all up to live life differently, there’s only one way to awakening, and that’s through the emptying.

The emptying can be excruciating, but when you’ve got nothing else to do, nowhere else to go… when you’re on your knees and you give it all over, in faith, in trust, in courage, in acceptance that it’s time to stop the old bullshit and change…then you’ve begun anew. Then you’re creating.
