The Universal truths of surrender and release are, I think, the real keys to living in congruence with your soul.
We’re human. And we just get in the way. And it’s okay – that’s the gig. We’re supposed to get in the way. But we’re also supposed to learn how to existentially get *out* of the way.
We’re meant to realize that our conditioning, fears, anxieties, even biological evolution, cause us to cling to what we know, even if it’s not good for us. We often cling when we should let go, assume when we should accept not knowing, and attempt to orchestrate or construct outcomes instead of surrendering to what’s actually taking place.
Shifting this mindset is tough. And it is the mindset you’ve got to reckon with first before you can gently coax yourself to give up the illusion of control and instead trust and release.
This practice takes, well, practice. Real, dedicated practice. And it’ll rile you – you’ll feel anxiety or fear or like you’re going to lose everything. But if you can hang right there – don’t move and be in those emotions and fears – and stay the course toward surrender and release – you’ll find a new kind of peace on the other side. Truly.
